  • Disabled auto deploy function temporarily
  • Fixed the HUD so the Wrong key is not displayed for showing the Task List anymore
  • Matchmaking with a squad now selects the bot battle type based on squad player with the highest level
  • BattlEye update for Windows 10

  • Fixed an issue where players joining specific battles could sometimes be matched in the wrong battles
  • Fixed an occasional matchmaker crash when using Quick Battle with a large squad

HOTFIX 158035 – [05.04.2019]

  • Improved matchmaker. New players are no longer paired with higher ranked players in “First encounter”
  • Fixed progression level 10 showing Credits unlock instead of Warfunds unlock
  • Lowered “Capture and Hold Tank” victory condition from 15 minutes to 10 minutes
  • Fixed a bug where a turret pitch was artificially limited by an offset aiming reticle
  • Increased penetration and damage versus vehicles of [85x629mmR] BR-365P APCR and [85x629mmR] BR-365 Armor Piercing which is used by SU-85, T-34 85 Model 1944 and KV-85
  • Increased penetration and damage versus vehicles of [122mm] BR-460A HEAT and [122mm] BR-471 Armor Piercing which is used by IS-2 Model 1944
  • SU-85, SU-100 internal hitboxes tweaked, ammunition and fuel components are now smaller and harder to hit
  • M18 Hellcat Hitbox Changes: Corrected armor thicknesses (turret-side, turret-top, turret-rear, side-skirts decreased in thickness, turret-front increased in thickness). Hull component in turret increased to fill out entire turret
  • M10 Tank Destroyer hitbox Changes: Hull component in turret increased to fill out entire turret

HOTFIX 157940 – [03.04.2019]

  • Fix for auto deploy options
  • Fixed when firing tank SU-100, there would be global audio ducking
  • Fixed missing engine sound on Hellcat
  • Increased deploy time for King Tiger and Hellcat
  • Decreased deploy time for Pershing, IS2 and Tiger 1
  • Moved Jeep, Kübel & Gaz67 unlocks to ribbon level 2 for infantry
  • Moved Driver badge unlocks to chauffeur ribbon for infantry
  • Moved Driver Bronze 1 level up for infantry from ribbon level 2 to 3
  • Moved Logistics expert Bronze, Silver and Gold badge 2 ribbon levels up for infantry

  • The button for auto deploying will not be shown anymore when it is not possible to deploy instantly
  • Decreased effectiveness of AI with anti-tank weapons against vehicles
  • AI now knows to not to fire at wrecked vehicles
  • When a button hint is displayed, the button background now looks like a button

HOTFIX 157823 – [28.03.2019]

  • Re-enabled Quick Battle matchmaking mode
  • Friendly AI will no longer try to destroy captured vehicles
  • XP feed no longer shows enemy player names in green (friendly squad color)
  • When a character can’t deploy, a soldier of the same type will now be prioritized

New Game Modes

  • Capture & Hold Tank - Tank vs Tank mode with AI Infantry
  • Capture & Hold Infantry - Infantry only mode
  • Assault Infantry - Infantry, Recons and Paratroopers play on an Assault-type map with one attack line (as opposed to 2 lines in the regular Assault mode)
  • Quick Battle - The quickest battle based on all factions and classes you control.
  • Please note: some advanced matchmaking filters have been temporary disabled
  • See table below for an overview of all modes

New Progression window

  • New Progression screen is now shown every time a player levels up
  • The screen shows current progression and unlocks as well as what to expect next
  • More iterations will come for this screen

Deploy Menu Streamlined

  • Deploy menu simplification with auto-deploy by default. (Hit Space-bar to cancel) and hotkey setup

New Vehicles

  • sdkfz 251 for GE Infantry - swapped with the old Sdkfz 250-3 (Players will get the old model and skins replaced with the new ones)
  • Sdkfz 250-3 Moved to GE Recon from GE Infantry
  • M20 Armoured Utility Car - US Recon vehicle

Other Improvements

  • Tank Turret sound and logic updated
  • Moved kettenkrad unlock for GE Recon from lvl 5 to lvl 7, to make room for new recon vehicles
  • Added unlocks for 2 new recon vehicles to chauffeur ribbon
  • Added specialist ribbons for 2 new recon vehicles
  • Added Attackers/Defenders amount on Capture & Hold objective icons
  • AI soldiers now have a new icon above them
  • Steam PC cafe enabled
  • Korean localization added

Bug Fixes

  • Gunshot sounds are no longer cut off too harsh on distance
  • Weapon reload sounds are no longer coming from the wrong direction
  • M36 Engine sound balance issue is fixed
  • M36 Engine sound is no longer identical to M18 Hellcat engine sound
  • SU-100: Engine start-up sound now transitions well to idle
  • Your own footsteps are not too loud anymore compared to other sounds
  • M18 Hellcat is no longer emitting a high pitch sound when moving
  • Fixed terrain texture artifacts on Assault maps for DX10 graphics cards
  • Vehicle bumping sound is no longer too loud over long distances
  • Fixed unexpected low-LoD black doors near Nissen huts at O1

If I play this new gamemode I promise you when fighting US you will circled by m18s and slaughtered but other than that im excited to try this out

Not bad with the options given.

 

One could however question that you choose to visualize 300 options for staged and only 1 big lump for war.

Promise you when figthing Ge you will have tons of Kt snipping you. Dont know that the Soviets can take out to deal with those two tactics

Well, I get it, it is simple to spawn if you dont care about soldier/loadout/vehicle/spawn zone, but surprisingly most of us care....

Also when you spawn by this fast "press 1 option", you loose the view of the whole map situation, which is crutial for winning/loosing battle. It will just make another and bigger gap between new players and oldtimers. 

 

And I dont get it, why you change the color of kill info.....red was ok and it was clear that it is for kill. The green color was used for squad XP, now it is mixed....

Not sure what to think of this game change.

As far as i can see not one single change that brought back any of the good old game features (old UI, pick battle list, rooftop access, iron sight zoom, propaganda speeches, flags/banners for the sake of immersion, old spawn system, old capture zone sizes) or most wanted request like hard caps on tanks and planes. Basically anything from the Veteran Wish List (RIP)

 

All i see is iteration XXX of the deploy menu, which was already cumbersome and (haven't checked) if the map filters have been removed is an even bigger pain and another reason to put this game aside for another few weeks/months.

 

Please enlighten me.

 

Ow, seems sounds have been fixed in some areas, so that is a good thing to point out.

 

p.s.

Double posting this since i can't see the reason as of why game changes are posted in section "News & Updates" as well as subsection " Changelogs"  when they both mention the same thing?

The matchmaking changes, new gamemodes, texture fixes and the replaced new APC for GE are probably the things im looking for in this one. Still not quite sure how these new gamemodes will be triggered in war.

Also that quick battle is a gamemode or just a button to slap when you just want a random game?

Hades stated that first they where sorting a place to put the extra then they would see about limits, I trust I am not puting words in his mouth but I believe there are those in the team that are not adverse to limits. Or would you have them stuck in an endless queue?

There are no new game modes for war. Inf only & tank v tank are staged only as far as I could tell.

I believe there is still a lot of feedback to be given and fixes to be made, but we are one step closer!

Wow, the trello had tank vs. tank listed as "on hold".

 

I guess it wasn't.  That's really good and hopefully will lessen tank spam in other matches.
