Improvements

  • Fixed M4A3E8 Sherman Variant textures not showing properly

Balance

  • Lowered armor HP of light Armor vehicles from 5000 to 2500 per surface
  • Lowered armor HP of Medium Armor vehicles from 6000 to 3500 per surface
  • Lowered armor HP of Heavy Armor vehicles from 7000 to 5000 per surface
  • Lowered armor HP of Medium Tank Destroyers from 5000 to 2500 per surface
  • Lowered armor HP of Heavy Tank Destroyers from 5000 to 3500 per surface
  • Increased the damage multiplier for ammo and fuel compartments with x2
  • Lowered amount of damage tracks can transfer to the vehicle from 225 to 75 per track
  • Tweaked large and medium fuel components from dealing excessive damage
  • Tweaked large and medium ammo components from dealing excessive damage

 

HOTFIX 1567043 – [07.03.2019]

Flash

  • The Auto Resolver now kicks in after 6 hours
  • Assault missions now have the same priority as other mission types in the matchmaker
  • Reduced player XP requirements by 50% to get players faster into war.

Action game

  • Lowered the Highlight outline distance for weapons 30m to 15m
  • Outlining of objects is no longer seen through the weapon you’re holding
  • Lowered peak pitch speed and pitch acceleration of FW-190 D-9 (It still has the highest pitch speed of any plane)
  • FW-190 D-9 Fighter plane CPU optimizations
  • Lavochkin La-7 fighter plane CPU optimization
  • P-51D Mustang Fighter plane CPU optimizations
  • Removed vehicle component destruction sounds (Until performance issue is fixed)

Misc

  • Updated the loader to better detect and handle corrupted files
  • Updated the file verification process at login

HOTFIX 156858 – [28.02.2019]

Improvements

  • Parachute deployed sound now only plays for the player with the parachute.
  • Server crash triggered by destruction on the airfield map was fixed.

Optimization & Balance

WEAPONS

Our most recent anti-tank weapons have received some optimisations to reduce CPU use by their audio.

  • Ampulomet Model 1941: tweaked reload animation
  • Ampulomet Model 1941: reload sound timing tweak
  • Ampulomet Model 1941: timing sound tweak
  • Ampulomet Model 1941: multiple audio layers merged down to save CPU usage.
  • Panzerbüchse-39: multiple audio layers merged down to save CPU usage.
  • Bazooka M9A1: multiple audio layers merged down to save CPU usage.
MISC

In a change designed to help new players, we've made a visual change to useable objects. When mousing over crates and weapons, they will be automatically highlighted when you get close. Hit markers can now also be toggled on and off as an option.

  • Added option to disable hit indicator
  • Crates and weapons are now highlighted when you get close. Crates, weapons and vehicles pulse highlight if they are the ones that are triggered when you press Use Button (Default: E)
  • Added option to disable Highlight
  • Removed the ability to undeploy unless you are on the ground or in a vehicle
  • Parachute falling sound added
RENDERING OPTIMISATIONS
  • Various performance optimizations
  • Terrain Clutter draw distance tweaks
  • Reduced light leaking from shadows
LEVEL DESIGN CHANGES
  • Updated terrain system for all maps

Point O2 on Mountain Town has a new layout, based directly on your feedback.

 

  • O2 spawn area has been moved further away from O2
  • More buildings have been added to block line of sight of to the deploy area
  • The ground behind the deploy area and all mountains in the game play area have been lowered, to prevent spawn camping
  • Lowered Mountain behind O1
  • Lowered Mountains on E and A attack line
  • O2 spawn area has been moved further away from O2
  • Added new roads
  • Added more forest around starting area B1
  • Lowered mountains at B attack line
  • Moved spawn location at O1 away from E-attack line
  • Lowered D2 hill for easier driving
  • Reduced capture area of O1
  • Removed coal piles at O1 and O2

Now I am having 20, 30 fps less. Game is unplayable. "Added Parachute Sound", the para sound is behind your head all the time even the guy jumps kilometer away. I am out till I buy a new graphic card.

Why not just name the mountain town map to "Town but in an area with conifer trees" if you're lowering the so called mountain even more. On proto airfield had also lost it's mountains which sucks a lot. 

Also please fix the bugs that were found on prototype, such as the parachute sound being bugged. Releasing 1/3 finished things isn't received well by the community. 

Also things like people having noticable FPS loss after each update isn't good and you should look into it. I used to have a stable 120 fps on assault maps with high settings but lately it's been around 40, i won't have a chance of trying out this update yet but i hope my FPS won't be 20..

That's not a bug afaik, it's intended so that new players can find items easier.

I understand that still there has nothing been done to finally improve the RTS side of the game?

For example

- Set the new AR timer to 6 hrs as was considered to be done

- Allow players to deploy (some of) their special class ATs when they login when the war has already started for more than 3 min.

- adjust broken connections between towns on RTS map

- show a RTS battle report for your ATs (how many xp/we did they gain in a battle)

 

Ps. When will you make the game more stable as it keeps crashing more than one time every hour (RTS side of the game)

- Ingame performance feels  better , less stutter , less FPS  drops (at least for me )

- More roads on skirmish maps  is a good thing !  less swamping arround in muddy terrain with 2kmh  uphill

- Hill 60 map  made the  hilltop cap point less campable - I like it

 

only thing I might have to add as negative so far for this update : windows  inside houses  seem to be less transparent when hit by light  ... this  could possibly be a  problem

also im not sure about the tall  grass inside encounter maps , they kinda feel out of place especialy if there is a giant patch of grass  growing in the middle of the road  on colmar hamlet

 

If I find anything else I like to praise or criticise I will add it by edit

 

Edit1: actualy now that I think about it  glowing weapons might be a problem , if you pick up a weapon   and than drop it to reload your main weapon   you will give away your position through the wall

Since this was already a big build, we decided not to include the RTS changes we planned just yet.

They are still on the agenda however, and will be implemented very soon.

 

For the guys reporting FPS issues, was this in battles involving quite a few planes? Are were these battles without any planes?

Boy, it's so hard trying not to be negative about every update that is yet to come, just to see basically none of the changes will make the game look & feel more like the 2013 era H&G.

Accepting it's fate that the game will never regain it's former glory, lets point out a positive change:

Seems Reto did learn from previous mistakes of just shoving in changes that would benefit new players (at least they thought it would) but were of great nuisance to the existing player base. We actually got ' options' this time to disable unnecessary features.

 

That alone is worth a (small) cheer. GG Reto.

 

p.s.

Would still like to remind you of the existence of the Veteran Wish List. A lot of desired changes have been listed there and will definitely increase game play big time.  What's holding you?

Okay so after the update I expecting much less fps then before on skirmish Maps (without planes)

Before: 150-180 FPS

After: 80-120

So you implemented the low key wallhack? Great. So, for the guys who dont understand it:

You can see the exact position where your teammate got killed.

You can see when an enemy drops a picked up weapon, so you know where he is.

You can see if a Panzerfaust is taken and therefor an enemy is nearby

And all that THROUGH WALLS.
