Crash on battle start

Click battle, load the battle and as soon as its moves to the stats/count down screen i get a black screen for less than 3 seconds and then a crash log appears after i'm sent back to load out screen, graphics drivers are up to date, happens both on me 1.10 prototype server and 1.09 main server...

I've been having the same problem, generally if I rejoin between 1 and 3 times it will make it in.

Rejoining does not work, crash log every time, i'm certain its not my computer so as you said would it be possible to fix the game engine to run it?

Well, there are some thousand other players, who don't have that problem... don't you think that it is more likely that it is your computer that causes this odd behavior of the game?

what would be wrong with my computer then? every other game in my library runs flawless, my specs are; gtx 780 on an i5 4440k

Please press the [Windows] key + [R] on your keyboard to bring up the "Run" box.

In the "Run" box, copy/paste this line

%USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\Heroes and Generals

and press Enter.

In that folder, open the file player-live.log with your editor.

This file contains the record of the stuff that goes on/wrong in the backend every time you start the action game.

 

Copy/paste the log text in here.

But please use the spoiler feature JJOrCX0.png of the forum to keep the thread readable for others ;)

This might be your problem then

 

Please go to your Nividia comtrol panel and make sure that your GPU is selected to calculate PhysX

If that does not fix it .. it is most likely that something with your graphic driver installation is wrong and you need to intsall it again.

Please make sure that you use a clean installation

Well, there seem something wrong with the PhysXDevice.dll the game says that it "is not available" so it might be either already in use or broken.

 

Please try to download and install it separately

i run windows 10 so it can't be downloaded separately, so this didn't start happening until i bought the gtx 780, before getting it i ran 2 gtx 660s on sli which worked great, but limited play on other games because they didn't support sli, i do plan to upgrade even further to possibly a 1070 or higher hopefully in the near future, so if you can't fix this problem don't worry about it.

As @d|ng mentioned, I have a 1070 and the game crashes a lot of times (not every time) when the countdown hits 0 at the beginning of the game. 

 

What I often do when I enter the game, if I remember, is alt+f4 out of the game if I see a countdown, and click rejoin in the client to get back in.

 

It started happening for me around 1.04 or 1.05.
