Shooting Bots

Bug: Bots are much more difficult to hit than players.

Map Encountered: All Maps.

Location Encountered: Wherever bots are present.

Details: I've been playing for a few years now but ever since the bots have been added its almost impossible to hit the bot even from 5m away. With regular infantry, it's very easy to lead the target and get the kill but with bots its almost impossible to predict the lead. This may be ping or net code related but I thought it would be worth mentioning as there have been plenty of times where I have shot at a bot and my tracer freezes in mid-air then misses (doesn't occur with players). On a side note, getting aimbotted through several bushes when I can't even see the bot is getting pretty frustrating.

How to Reproduce?: Shoot at bot.

hmm - i dont have tht problem

on first encounter usually kill 50+ bots with G43 without problem at any range.

You need to shoot where bot will be in fragment of sec not in bot cause they are moving .

@PIOSK3 Like I have said, I have been playing the game for a few years now and leading the target is not an issue for me. The issue I have is that these bots are more difficult to shoot while they are moving. If I lead the target on a bot like as I would with a normal player it will 100% miss. Additionally, the tracer freezes in midair and even if it shows the tracer 'hitting' the target it doesn't register. Then again, this issue is only with bots and not players.

I've had issues hitting bots but I've also had issues hitting real players.

Some matches everything will work ok, other times I can't seem to land a hit.

But I can never be 100% sure if it's just not due to human error. Like maybe my aim was just a bit off + innacurate weapons and whatnot. And bots just move funny, they are weird to track.

And I've also wondered if it might be that Moscow server everyone is always mentioning.

I'm beginning to think that this issue is more server related as this doesn't occur in any other game (with bots and players in the same lobby) other than HnG.

Moving bots are not whey there seem to be. Unlike for other players looks like there is no client side prediction for bots and we shoot where they were 2x ping ago.

 

Quake Champions had same problem btw

I am beginning to think that RETO has some modifiers which changed/applied to faction or peculiar weapon so it get malus/bonus for example sometime my MG42 shoots and kills in 1,5 -2 sec and it is very funny that time. Next day it behave like half of my bullets go HKW (Hell Knows Where) and I need 3-4 sec  serie to kill anyone.
