Hi Folks,

 

which United States Army Unit used this Shoulder Insignia ?

Photo shows an Officer attached to the 15th US Army on 11th April 1945 in Greimerath, Germany.

This is the Shoulder Sleeve Insignia of the Fifteenth Army. Thats is the same as seen his shoulder/ arm? I think the unit patch may be on the other arm?

While we are at it.

 

Anyone knows which German unit this is ?!?

The tactical symbol on the left wing in the direction of travel shows that the car belonged to a communications unit.

The still civil license plate (registration: Schwaben District, Bavaria) suggests that those photos were taken in the early stages of the war.

Thanks again @kimalm ,

 

looks like that those pictures shows one of the Propaganda-Kompanien (PK) of the German 57. Infanterie-Division on its way to Poland.

Correction,

 

That footage was taken in the area of Creully in Normandy, France 1940/41 so they are most likely on the way to Russia.
