In this topic you can discuss everything related to the recon versus recon mode.

 

- More spawns have been added

- Vehicles can only be spawned at the furthest away spawn points

 

*Changes may be missing from the list

Looks like losing money on repair cost when sniping, no bonus xp for long range bot kills. At least with my level 1 test recon.

Well it took me a few minutes to see the fatal flaws this mode still has, but to provide feedback i like to know if the changes required are even  possible to make because....the map as it is simply DONT WORK for real recon vs recon.

 

-Recon cars must NOT be included, they made the game into another "tank feeding on infantry" nightmare scenario, im sure i readed they will not be included yet they are still there.

-Game mode defined by BOTS capturing a heavily COVERED objective, aka sniper recons are useless as always.

-Map now include ammo and faust crates, as its the same tank vs tank map it means rambo tankers now have even more reasons to leave their tanks and go rambo.

 

 

This map DONT WORK as it is for recon vs recon, if assets changes can´t be made then dont waste more time on it, it will be a disaster.

Yeah it's kind of weird, you can get 400m shots at some spots but what's the point if there's no bonus xp for long range kills.

Gonna be shoe vs puma and US prolly won't even try.

it's to have a "specialist v specialist" mode for every class, so that reto could finally implement restrictions on special classes

I though they doesnt want limits which was the reason why we get those modes cause Reto logic?

no need to add bots in this mode. also as no need for capture point. just narrow the borders of the map and let the players fight until the team runs out of resources, disable armored vehicles and remove poplars.

and thus the map will be completely ready to recon vs recon mode.

i think reto done a fine job in the prototype. another map would be a plus. not to sure about the idea behind it with bots and all, but hey, that's reto.

First impression: SdKfz 222's eats Ba-11's for breakfast, but I guess we already knew that.

Second impression: The bots are deadly. Riflemen and rambos alike.

I think the map have some potential for this mode, it works well with the bowl-like terrain, but maybe add some high-ground features around the outskirts, on the ridge, like a few watchtower or something. And there's maybe too much foliage for this mode I think, especially around the town. Also allow more access to houses and rooftops in the town.

The thing is no recon wants to just sit there and look 10 minutes for a kill, they wanna be bush camping farmers

 

Recons won't flock to the new mode, they'll continue being a nuisance elsewhere.

Bots are basically aimbots in disguise. Getting close to the objective is impossible, they can find you even if you are hidden or in cover so there is no reason to sneak around on the cap.

Okay, then let's start sniping. Oh, there is WAY TO MUCH cover in the objective so sniping is also close to impossible. And you don't get those long-range-kill-XP when killing a bot past 250m.

Hmm, what about recon cars then? Okay, you drive around and kill a few poor guys who don't have AT-stuff until a bot pulls out a bazooka and OHKs you. Very useful, great fun - 10/10

 

So what to do.

Make bots weaker like in First Encounter

Remove almost all buildings in the objective and replace them with something like the southern area of the airport (O1) on the forward airfield map

Grant long-range-kill-XP for killing bots

Add some interesting hiding and sniping positions around the map (ruins, emplacements, outposts, etc.)

reto.overcomplicating issues that are super easy to solve- ie hard caps

Bots we currently have, are strange.

The bots on first blood are stupid AF and rarly headshots you. 

And then we have the bots on the tank map. Accurate AF (able to kill  your tracks evn if you are 200m away and behind dozent of bushes) and knows how to cover or stealth.

Why less recons? I get killed by headshot sniping more by infantry than by recon.

They stay in bush or drive around the map to find camping spots, not really useful to the team. Better of with inf in those server slots.
