    Game is disappointing

There are more German players than US or Soviet. Lots of experienced players play GE staged. So, yes, lots of them are better. Weapons aren't the reason.

    Improving heavy tanks penetration.

That's because the APCR uses kinetic energy of the shell itself to penetrate the hull, so you're right the faster it goes and the more it weighs the better it penetrates. But HEAT ammo does not use kinetic energy of the shell. It uses kinetic energy of molten metal to penetrate the hull. HEAT ammo works exactly the same way a magnetic mine, a bazooka round, or a panzerfaust works. It's a shape charge that explodes with HE and generates an extremely high velocity jet of molten metal that penetrates the hull. So, whether it is flying at the tank at 1000 m/s or 50 m/s or is just sitting on the hull, it doesn't matter, the penetration is exactly the same.

    Improving heavy tanks penetration.

The IS-2 used HEAT (high explosive anti-tank) rounds for armor engagements. Solid shot (ballistic capped) type of rounds were developed for the gun in the spring of 1945 but were not available in combat units until after the war. Since muzzle velocity does not affect the penetration of HEAT rounds, it didn't matter what the muzzle velocity was . . . except for the ability to put the shot on target.
  4. AVS wasn't used in any significant number. The Johnson was used in the Pacific theater not the European. Recon planes dropping bombs? US paratroops were not given the Johnson. A Pz1 and a T-34/85 were never on the same battlefield at the same time. The US and the Soviet Union were not at war.

    Casual War

I play staged to grind a new toon. I'm not going to grind toons in war.
  6. HA! That's hilarious. Yeah, since I usually play infantry, I get you. I probably wouldn't hate tankers so much if there were specialist limits. Then, I wouldn't feel like tankers are actually helping my team lose.

    Casual War

Wait, I forgot one other moniker: good streaming and YouTube content generation 😉
  8. I say it because the hellkitty is still the best medium TD, by far, end of story. If that's wrong, then which is better? Hetzer? nice MG, but too easy to kill. Stug? No MG, no turret, slow. SU-76 or SU-85? No. So, yeah, hellkitty is easily the best medium TD. Panther is far to easy to kill for it's required spawn time and cost. Really, no reason to deploy a Panther over a Pz 4. It's not worth the credits and spawn time. What? T38 sucks. One small MG. It cannot knock out other tanks. It's amphibious characteristic is it's only redeeming value. When I play M2A3 against Pz1 or T38, it's just not balanced at all.
  9. since armor 2, speed is much less important. One track shot and speed is gone.
  10. Has a hull MG. So, yeah, it's an expensive Pz4 without the turret.
  11. molotov cocktail. Was used by all sides, should be very cheap, and cause much less damage than other AT. Yeah, I understand your frustration. Tanks attract rambos like flies to a pile of dog shirt. When I play tanker, it is virtually always to have tank duels with other tanks. That said, as much of a pain in the arse rambos are to tankers, tankers are as well to infantry. Parked on D line bridge? Parked on E line shore? In the street mowing down spawns at police station? The list goes on. So, wanna make AT cost lots of credits as a disincentive to rambos? Ok, I can dig it. Then, at the same time, tank HE and MG rounds also have to be ridiculously expensive as a disincentive to tankers mowing down infantry. If you make it so rambos will always lose credits and tankers who kill infantry will always lose credits, you might have a solution.

The game will die in this way

Exactly. Hopefully I win that Powerball or MegaMillions and RetoJM agrees to sell me the game. I'll fix it up in two shakes of a lambs tail.
  13. US clearly has the best lights. M2A3 is awesome for a MG tank, far better than Pz1 or T 38. The Stuart is just awesome for a light, and the Chaffee, while nerfed from years ago, is still good. US also clearly has the best Medium TD's solely because of the Hellkitty. Mediums are all about the same, really. The Panther is easy to kill if you know where to hit it, so it's not OP like it used to be. Heavies . . . well, there's the KT and there's everything else. That said, it seems like the IS-2 got a firepower buff at least to me. Heavy TD? Who cares? At least the M-36 has a turret so it's useful.

    thoughts on Rambo Recon?

Springfield does 2 points more than the Mosin and Kar98k, not that it matters.

    thoughts on Rambo Recon?

as per: http://hng.dudwire.com/ none of the BA rifles can 1HK HSG without headshot. I question whether it's valid, but many are basing arguments on this calculator.

I don't know. Enlisted is different enough from HnG that I don't know that people will give up HnG and just play that.

    Is recon viable in War?

Agree with your points. Recon was never actually designed well. Clearly its more sniper than recon. I remember that Redbjarne was talking about redoing the recon class before he left, but he never gave out many details and then left. They should only be available on defense. They are useless on an attack assault . . . or maybe better to say: they are less useless on an assault defense. If you call them recon, then there should be some actual recon function. Spotting function could change significantly such as only recon will put spotting marks on the map.

The game will die in this way

Yeah, we won't know the 2020 situation for a few more months. But, they have not hired new coders. So, it's unlikely they will be coming out with new big changes. And the updates revolve around easy changes (gun balancing) not hard ones (those that require lots of work like maps and RTS). They seem to constantly have incentives to buy gold (discounts on game purchases with gold only) and are always pushing the merchandise store. So it appears that they are doing their best to monetize the game without providing significant improvements. They are between a rock and a hard place financially. They need to invest resources to grow the game, to, in turn, attract more players, to, in turn, make more money, and grow the game and so on. But they don't have the resources to invest now. Tell you what . . . I'll go buy a Powerball ticket. If I win, I'll contact Reto.JM and offer my financial help . . . only if they fix Armor 2.0 and spawntimers . . . 😁

The game will die in this way

Here is the financial statement from RetoMoto for 2019: https://regnskaber.cvrapi.dk/44417213/amNsb3VkczovLzAzL2IwLzUxLzRmLzAyL2ZkNTYtNDU2My1iZmMyLWU2NzA3NDZmOWU3OA.pdf Not sure I would like a huge studio to buy the game. The game would be at risk for shutdown if the studio doesn't see a quick turn around.

The game will die in this way

Do any of you realize the financial situation Reto.Moto is in? Negative income. They have been operating at a loss. That's why there were massive personnel cuts a year or so ago. They cannot afford all the manpower. Without manpower, you can't do big changes in the game. We need maps. It's the biggest need we have had for a while. However, it takes a lot of man hours to design and troubleshoot maps. Reto simply doesn't have the resources to design big new maps. At least ones that aren't full of bugs and traps. Reto listens to the community. @Reto.Hades is frequently polling and asking about changes. Not doing what some people want doesn't mean they aren't listening. Don't think for a second that Reto doesn't care. It's their job. It's their livelihood. Of course they care. It's just they simply don't have the money to make big changes in the game. As @Fegaris said above, you don't have to spend any money to play the game. And then @BioMonster305 says it's all a money grab. And everyone else says we need Armor 2.0 changed, we need maps, we need X. Well, if you don't spend money on the game, how is Reto supposed to run and expand the game? The only way HnG can really fulfill it's potential is either Reto finds new investors (or is able to secure a more funding from current investors), or Reto.Moto sells the game to someone with the means and resources to effect large changes in the game.
  21. And sometime in 2018 people forgot how to defend the APC.
  22. Yeah, can we go back to the red color around the edges instead?
