Build Lock for the 1.09 update
We had the build lock on the 1.09 update – this means that we have finalized what is going to go into the update, we stop adding more, QA get to work testing, and we fix the bugs they find.
The 1.09 update will be named Battle Flow, and will contain tweaks to maps based on community feedback, updates to the user interface, new vehicle paint jobs, and new helmet paints.
We will go into more details in future blog posts and we expect to have an Update Preview Stream on Twitch in a few weeks.
For now, here is a first preview of some of the helmets paints:
Devstream this week – new host on the Q&A & Why-Stream
This Wednesday Reto.RedBjarne was joined on the Q&A & Why-Stream by Reto.blackjama, standing in as host for the plague-ridden Reto.Gargamel. As always Reto.RedBjarne took a dive into the many excellent questions put forward and voted on by the community.
If you were a little baffled by Reto.RedBjarne mentions of a new deploy system, we would recommend reading trough this forum tread.
Did you miss the latest Q&A & Why Twitch-stream? Not to worry you can still find it on Twitch and on our YouTube channel. If you want to submit a question for next time, you can do so here.
And remember to follow us on Twitch and tune in every Wednesday at 1500 CEST / 9am EDT, where we have a new Twitch-stream happening.
By the way, next time you watch Q&A & Why you might want to play the Heroes & Generals Bingo made by community member RedFoxFour.
Server Issues – investigation ongoing
We continue to look into what is causing the servers to act up and monitor them closely – you will find more details in this blogpost.
Remember that all active Veteran Memberships are paused and Ribbon Boosters reset when servers are offline. And when we are past this episode and the servers are stable again we promise to make it up to you guys to the best of our ability!
Reto Insider Summit – invitations has gone out
We received a large number of applications from players wanting to take part in the first Reto Insider Summit this november. As the event is “by invitation only” we have sent out invitations to a number of players, and as soon as all details fall into place we will announce who we invited and the specific agenda for the summit. We expect this to happen at the end of October.
Quick look at design model for new maps
If you want the chance to catch a sneak peak at some of the very early stuff being worked on for Heroes & Generals, you might want to consider keeping an eye on Reto.Splixxen’s Twitch-channel.
Just a few weeks ago Reto.Splixxen streamed while having a quick look at the design model for the new fort map that is in the making – checking to see if the model was fit for proceeding doing a high resolution version. As is evident in the stream this is early stuff – final version of this map will not be ready just yet.

We also really dig the proposal that Cowman1800 posted on Steam for improving the Reto team.
And we are happy to see that DeatHŤechnO likes blowing stuff up – we do too. Check out his screenshot on Steam.
The Intelligence Bulletin is your quick brief about what is going on in and around Heroes & Generals. While the DevStreams and the forums are for the deep dives, this blog post series is an overall view – the Intelligence Bulletin will be published at regular intervals.
