You are already devoted to the game and know every bit of it? Now we think it is time that you get to know the team a little better. So every once in a while we will introduce you to one of the people behind Heroes & Generals.

What’s the story of the tag?

The nick KriegDK is formed from the german word for war. The name came to me when I started working here, since it kind of sounds like an old nick of mine. 🙂

What is your position and what does that mean?

I am Lead Tester at Reto-Moto, leading our testing team on a daily basis. This means delegating test tasks, keeping track of deadlines and getting some testing done myself. And when Splixxen is not around, I’m handling some of his tasks.

What was the best thing to work on so far?

As a tester, I often get my hands on new features in a premature state, sometimes resulting in some really entertaining bugs. One bug coming to mind is the parachutes suddenly being an equippable item by mistake, which meant you could run around with a fully deployed parachute in your hands, pointing it in the direction you were looking at. It was a short lived source of entertainment though, since it got fixed way too fast. 🙂

What are you excited about in the future?

Oh, there are so many cool things in the making, it’s impossible to single out even just a few.

What did you do before Reto?

Before joining Reto-Moto I held the position of Editor in Chief at the danish version of Tom’s Hardware, where I wrote news articles and reviews for all kinds of PC hardware and gadgets. Before that, I had been developing different kinds of web content management and logistics systems as well as writing game reviews as a hobby for many, many years.

What is the best thing about working at Reto?

The best thing is probably the fact that I legitimately love coming to work every morning.

What is your favourite thing about H&G?

My playstyle mainly fits close quarters battles, so my favourite episodes in battles, are the ones where you know you’re up against an equally skilled player and really have to be in the zone to outsmart and out-aim the opponent.

What are your hobbies?

Playing games is a hobby right? I own and play a lot of games. I’ve clocked hundreds of hours in Fallout 4, many, many more in Rocket League, and I’ve been playing a lot of Overwatch since its release. I’m also a sucker for smaller indie games such as INSIDE, Invisible Inc and Crypt of the NecroDancer.
When I’m not playing games, I’m spending a bunch of my spare time with friends, managing and operating a club with lots of computers, servers, arcade and pinball machines, where we meet to relax, work on projects, play games or just hang out together.

Favourite Games/Games that inspired you to have a career in games?

I’ve had a lot of favourite games through the years. Doom 2, Diablo and Warcraft 2 were my favourites in the early days after getting a PC. Since then I’ve almost always had a go-to shooter that I’d play regularly, spanning from Counter-Strike, to different games in the Battlefield series and for a long while it was Team Fortress 2.

What’s your favourite film

I’m a sucker for big production superhero or sci-fi movies when it comes to watching movies in a movie theatre. At home I prefer comedies or movies with a good story.

Random Fun Fact

Dynamite can contain traces of peanuts. I’m not even making that up. So if you have allergies, don’t munch on a stick of dynamite… I guess.
