Parallel to the tutorial tasks and -bots that went into the ‘Basic Training’-update released just two weeks ago, we have been doing a lot of tweaks and improvements to the user interface.
This is stuff that we would like for you to get access to right away, which is why we put it all into an update 1.06.1 and released it today.
The right match
As soon as you press ‘To Battle’ you will notice that the matchmaking window now contains more detailed information on the number of players both nearby and worldwide searching for battles to play. And it has information on how many battles match your filter settings.
Reason for this is that the more specific your settings are, the longer it might take to find you a battle. So if you notice that the amount of matching battles being low you might consider widening your criteria.
Time for a briefing
Battle briefing is now a natural part of the matchmaking info and quickly displays relevant information on the battle you are about to enter. Such as time of day and what kind of weather to expect.
That chatty feeling
We have updated the look and layout of chat and added shortcut keys making it much faster to quickly communicate to the channel, you want to communicate to. The shortcut keys also makes the chat a little easier to use if you are under pressure (that is the nice way of saying ‘being shot to pieces’).
It is all in the details
The update 1.06.1 also has a number of small improvements to overall functionality. This is stuff like you being able to just press Alt + Enter to toggle between three size modes: Fullscreen, Maximized, and Custom size.
Oh, by the way, hitting the Escape button now closes popup windows.
Here is a list of some additional features in the Update 1.06.1.
- Weather settings for staged battles no longer uses night or foggy
- Map preview images have a new color scheme
- Updated Heroes & Generals icons and images for installer
…and much more
