It is cool to be a great pilot. It is even better when you look good while flying.
With the upcoming release of the Wings of War-update we are introducing both a brand new paint jobs and new factory paint jobs for the three fighter planes, that have seen the most air time in Heroes & Generals.
- The Soviet Yak-9
- The German Messerschmitt Bf 109E-4
- And the US P-38 Lightning
The reason we are introducing new factory paint jobs is to standardise the basic design of factory paint jobs on all vehicles in the game.
An old paint job to set you apart
Introducing new factory paint jobs for the Yak-9, Messerschmitt Bf 109E-4 and US P-38 Lightning also means that the existing paint jobs will be grandfathered.
If you as a pilots already own either of the three planes you will get to keep and use the old factory paint jobs – something that will set you apart as a veteran pilot.
However, if you purchase a Yak-9, Messerschmitt Bf 109E-4 or US P-38 Lightning after the release of the Wings of War-update, it will feature only the new factory paint job.
If you own the old factory paint jobs but like the new factory paint jobs better, these are available for purchase.
All new paint jobs
In addition to the new factory paint jobs we are also introducing three all new paint jobs for the Yak-9, Messerschmitt Bf 109E-4 and US P-38 Lightning.
These new paint jobs has hints of inspiration from the former factory paint jobs, and all three of them are of course based on authentic World War 2 paint jobs.
The new paint jobs will be available in the shop when the Wings of War-update releases.
